Westside Baptist Dedicates New Worship Center
Fort Pierce - Westside Baptist Church will dedicate its new, state-of-the art, 65,000 square-feet building the weekend of September 11
th. The facility features a welcoming lobby, community bookstore, high-tech children's area (complete with security cameras, creative play areas, and private nursing rooms), and a sanctuary with 1,740 cascade-style seats, 17x20 jumbo video screens, theatrical lighting and sound systems, and LCD televisions.
The public is invited Friday, September 11
th at 7 PM for a special dedication service to welcome the community and recognize the hundreds of construction workers, and volunteers who made this venture possible. A flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol will also be presented to the family of Captain Adam Snyder, who was an active member of the Westside Youth Group for many years. Snyder was killed on December 5, 2007 while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq.
A Westside Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, September 12
th at noon and will feature tours of the new facility and a time for fellowship for current, past and future members to enjoy. Tickets for the picnic must be pre-ordered online ($7 per adult, $5 per child 12 and under).
The inaugural worship service in this new facility will take place on Sunday, September 13
th at 10:30 AM.
