Westside Baptist Hosts Successful Dedication Weekend

Fort Pierce - Westside Baptist Church proudly dedicated its new, state-of-the art, worship center the weekend of September 11 th. Senator Joe Negron, numerous area leaders, church members, and community supporters joined together for Friday's dedication service. Mayor Bob Benton, Police Chief Sean Baldwin, Judge Burton Conner, St. Lucie County Commissioners Chris Craft and Charles Grande, School Board Members Troy Ingersoll and Dr. John Carvelli all attended the service.

Senior Pastor Dale K. Ingersoll recognized the local contactors that took part in building the facility, as well as the construction company R.K. Davis Construction. Senator Joe Negron presented a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in memory of Captain Adam Snyder, to his family. Adam was an active member of the Westside Youth Group for many years and was killed on December 5, 2007 while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq.

Saturday the Westside family picnic was enjoyed by a sold out crowd! More than 700 enthusiastic church friends enjoyed fellowship, tours of the new facility, and greeting current, future, and past members.

The inaugural worship service was held on Sunday, September 13 th at 10:30 AM. A crowd of more than 1,500 worshipers attended and enjoyed a full choir, a meaningful sermon, and fellowship in their new sanctuary.
