First day of preschool
Contributed by: Iva Campbell on 1/24/2008

First day of preschool. My two year old daughter was excited and happy to go see her new little friends - I was heart-broken and cried. After exactly two years and 4 months I could no longer afford the luxury of being a stay-at-home mom and had to find a job. My little baby doll has to be now dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon - lilke many other children, I keep reminding myself to ease the guilt and pain in my heart.
It took me a long time to find a place I would feel comfortable with, where I would trust and like the teachers and could actually afford to pay for. After quite a depressing search I found just the place: First Baptist Child Development Center in Port St. Lucie. Great little preschool with amazing staff, nice people who care, great little kids in my daughter's class ...
If you are a parent, you know exactly what I am talking about. It feels as if your insides are being torn out of you when you see the eyes of your little angel looking after you, their little brain trying to figure out why you are leaving them ...
I am very grateful that I found this little preschool and would like to ask nice people from around PSL for kind donations of toys and books. Your kindness and generosity will be greatly appreciated by the preschool and mainly the children!
Many thanks.
