Re:Janezik Kids carry on tradition
Contributed by: Sheri Hilliard on 7/5/2009

We were preparing to leave for the festivities on the 4th when my neighbors kids came over. "Mom's car overheated, and we need to get to the race." Alyssa,13 had seen the boys dressed in scout uniforms and dedeuced we were headed to the parade. "Do you have room for two more?",she asked. Anyone would have been crazy to say no. She and brother James,10, told me they have been running in the race before the parade for years, it was a family tradition.
I had a mission to get the kids there. Having watched them grow up for the last 5 years,I could not disappoint them. We got there with time to spare. They found my boys after the parade and we all celebrated with hotdogs and funnel cakes.
If you have good hearted kids in your neighborhood. Count your blessings. I am so thankful to have these super kids as my neighbors. I am so proud of them for having enthusiasm and a sense of community and health.
