Local Artist Jennifer Shibona has the thrill of having her artwork hang on the White House Christmas tree this year. Jennifer collaborated with Lloyd Marcus, who was asked by Congressman Feeney of district 24 to create a red, white and blue themed ornament for the tree. Lloyd is the president of the Deltona Art and Historical Center. Lloyd designed the nine inch ornament and Jennifer beaded the design onto the ornament.

A self-taught bead weaver, Jennifer enjoys creating works of art with her beads. The more difficult the piece, the more she enjoys it. She finds bead weaving to be a form of meditation. Jennifer is a member of the St. Lucie Rock and Gem Club.

The tree will be featured on an HGTV program that will air Dec 17 at 9 PM, Dec 18 at 1 AM, Dec 24 at 9 AM, Dec 25 at 11 PM, and Dec 26 at 3 AM. The ornament can also be viewed on her website www.madchiwawadesigns.com.
