FORGOTTEN SOLDIER OUTREACH FESTIVAL
Contributed by: Bernard DiGiovanni on 7/15/2009

The first annual Freedom Festival to Benefit the Forgotten Soldiers Outreach was held at the Sons of Italy Lodge 2594 on July 5th. It was hosted by "The Paisan" from Port St Lucie and the Sons of Italy Lodge 2594. The festival began at 1 PM and ran without interruption until 11 PM. During that time the Kitchen provided food and dessert while the bar provided liquid refreshments. All day security was provided by the Guardian Angels who also directed traffic. The following bands entertained the hundreds of local residents and members of Lodge 2594.

Lou Calterio, and Lost & Found,

JDUB, and Tobin, and Less than a Second,

Rise to Fallen, and JD Danner,

Tribal Tongue, and Southpaw

DJ Louie G who played between bands from 1 PM to Closing.

The bands volunteered their time and the Lodge members freely gave of their time to help raise money to continue to send monthly "We care" packages to our U.S. Servicemen and Women serving overseas.

Along side the bands, entertaining and performing were the radio stations, 99.7 Jack, The Buzz 103.1 and W4CY FM, models from "Splash" sold 50/50 tickets, Molly Rodger Rollergirls and Jeanna Face Painting all gave of their time to make the paying customers enjoy their stay. Our local T.V. stations took interviews and footage of the festival that showed up on the evening news broadcast and their web sight. The group of supporters, who attended, expressed their enjoyment and was happy to support our troops. They said, and we agree, that the first annual Forgotten Soldiers Outreach was a huge success
