On Saturday, February 23, 2008, forty-six Red Hatters boarded a bus at the Rave movie theater parking lot off of Peacock in St. Lucie West headed to City Place in West Palm Beach for a splashing good time sightseeing over land and sea. Members from the following chapters attended: Classy Red Foxes, Dolphinette Divas of PSL, Lucie Goosies, Dazzling Dames in Red and Lake Charles Classy Redkettes.
We arrived at City Place a little before our scheduled reservation aboard Diva Duck. We checked in and many of us bought "quackers" for added fun during our tour.
We each climbed aboard and took a seat while Captain Bob and his assistant readied Diva Duck. Diva Duck is a 39-foot amphibious bus-boat. In addition to telling us about the different places along the way, our tour guide cracked duck jokes and played music that seemed to fit the occasion.
We gazed upon spectacular mansions, saw the historic Flagler Museum, saw the first one-room school house in West Palm Beach, took in picturesque Clematis Street Shopping District, and saw Peanut Island to name just a few things included in our tour.
We even had a dolphin swimming along side of Diva Duck.
Just before arriving back at City Place, the whole group on board Diva Duck was singing YMCA, along with doing all the hand motions and quacking after each verse.
Lunch was on your own, and so after the tour we were free to either do some shopping in City Place, eat lunch or do a little of both. Most of us went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.
About 3:30pm, we all boarded the bus again for our return trip home.
Everyone had such a great time!! QUACK QUACK!
