On Monday, February 23, 2009, ninety Red Hat women got together for a day of lunch and shopping at the Hutchinson Island Marriott in Stuart. The following Red Hat chapters attended: Bling Bling Babes, Capella Rosa, Classic Crimson Cruisers, Crimson Charmers, Dazzling Dames in Red, Foxy Red Hatters, Lake Charles Classy Redkettes, Lucie Goosies, Pampered Pack of Peacocks, Purple Passions of Hutchinson Island, Rebels with Hatatude, Scarlet Vamps and Treasure Coast Ruby Red Jewels.

This event was sponsored by Queen Eileen Barrett of the Lucie Goosies and Queen Lucille Hayes of Capella Rosa.

Our vendors were: Dorothy Greer, Cynthia Willis, Marilyn Snow and Cindi Read.

The Registration Table was handled by Vice Queen Melissa McKinney and Lucille Petruzzelli of the Lucie Goosies. Carole Wiseman of the Lucie Goosies sold Bling Sunglasses.

Red Hat Split tickets were sold by Linette Diede, Vice Queen of Capella Rosa, and Lynn Krauthamer, Vice Queen of Lucie Goosies.

Red Hat Ladies Can SHOP! After an hour of shopping, we all gathered for lunch. Everyone joined in reciting the Red Hat Pledge. All those with birthdays during the month of February were ask to stand while the rest of us either sang or played Happy Birthday on our Kazoos.

Queen Lucille Hayes recited a Red Hat Blessing just before our meal.

After we had lunch, there were lots of door prizes given away, in addition to the Red Hat Split. We had two Red Hat split winners - ($100) Nancy Ludwig of the Foxy Red Hatters and ($60) Ginny Fossaceca of the Scarlet Vamps.

Maxine Bowman, Vice Queen of Purple Passions of Hutchinson Island made an announcement about the upcoming Hee Haw Hoedown on April 18, 2009 at Spanish Lakes Riverfront. Hope to see you all there.
