Port St. Lucie woman recognized as a top notable winner for Horizon Bay Retirement Living's "A Touch of Mardi Gras" Essay Contest
Port St. Lucie - April 30, 2009 - Horizon Bay Retirement Living announces the top notable winners of its "A Touch of Mardi Gras" story contest. One of the top notable winners of this national outreach contest was Mary Craig from Council on Aging of St. Lucie Community in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Craig won after submitting her winning essay at the "A Touch of Mardi Gras" event at Horizon Bay Vibrant Retirement Living in Port St. Lucie. Horizon Bay in Port St. Lucie is one of Horizon Bay's 77 retirement living communities located nationwide in 15 states.
"We are always excited to provide fun events and great opportunities for our referral sources because they truly do mean a lot to us," says Jim Pusateri, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Horizon Bay Retirement Living. "We received some really great entries for this contest, and it was a pleasure just reading through all of these meaningful stories."
The "A Touch of Mardi Gras" event took place in Horizon Bay communities nationwide on February 19, 2009. The event featured Mardi Gras-themed food and entertainment, and the purpose was to build good will and to re-introduce professionals and valuable referral sources to the recently renamed Horizon Bay Vibrant Retirement Living communities.
Each event attendee submitted a story card detailing some of their favorite dining and travel stories and experiences. From there, each individual community selected a community winner who received a $250 gift card as the community's grand prize winner. From there, each community sent their winning story cards to the corporate office in Tampa, where a panel of judges selected all the winners for the prizes.
