On Saturday, May 9, 2009, there were 47 Red Hatters from the Treasure Coast Chapters attending a Red Hat Mother's Day Luncheon at Lady Ann's Victorian Tea House on Camden in Stuart. Chapters attending were: Capella Rosa, Cherry Charmers, Classic Crimson Cruisers, Crimson Bonnet Babes, Dazzling Dames in Red, Foxy Red Hatters, Lake Charles Classy Redkettes, Lucie Goosies, Pampered Pack of Peacocks, Pizazzy Pineapples, Red Hattitudes of PLV, and the Scarlet Vamps.
The Tea House is an old historic 1922 house that has been restored into a beautiful little restaurant, with flowered curtains and dainty lamps on cloth covered tables. Beautiful artwork adorns the walls while fireplaces grace most rooms. Lady Ann's has been in business for 12 years.
We had the 11:30am seating, and as each lady arrived they received a Red Rose Corsage. All of us had the "Indulgence" which consisted of Salad, Soup, Entrée and Dessert. There were also scones with clotted cream and jam.
Most of the ladies had Lady Ann's famous Lobster Bisque soup. It is delicious.
Reservations for lunch are necessary.
There was a heart on the bottom of a couple of the plates, and Lady Ann had a prize for the winners. The winners were Carol Hill, Vice Queen of Lake Charles Classy Redkettes, and Kathy McAmis, member of the Lucie Goosies.
Happy Birthday was played on kazoos and sang by the ladies. There were four (4) Birthday Gals - Rita Woodburn of the Foxy Red Hatters, Gail Marineau, Vice Queen of the Classic Crimson Cruisers, Kathy McAmis, member of the Lucie Goosies and Eileen Barrett, Queen of the Lucie Goosies. Each lady can "reverse colors" during their birthday month, which means they would wear a Purple Hat and Red Clothing instead of the normal Red Hat and Purple Clothing.
Dazzling Dames in Red and the Lucie Goosies co-sponsored this luncheon.
