Stuart builder expands hotel construction niche to Florida's west coast with award of $5.7 million contract for 78-room hotel in Port Richey

Bayview Construction Corporation has been awarded a $5.7 million contract by Maya Hotels, Inc. to build a 78-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Port Richey, Florida.

The site of the future 4-story 51,156 square foot hotel is located on U.S. Highway 19 in Port Richey. Site work has begun, and completion is scheduled for November 2008.

Bayview, a certified state-licensed contractor, began its hotel building niche in 2004 (??) when the company was awarded a contract to renovate the conference facilities and a restaurant at the Hutchinson Island Marriott. Since that initial project, Bayview has been the general contractor for a number of motels: a 79-room Holiday Inn Express in Stuart completed last year; a 120-room Courtyard by Marriott in Stuart currently under construction; and, a 55-room Country Inn & Suites in Fort Pierce scheduled for completion this year.

Besides hotels, the construction company's commercial building portfolio is comprised of warehouses, restaurants, office space, and mixed-use. Bayview's President Ken Ringe purposely diversified the company's project mix to include the hotel market and is banking on this segment to help him expand his company's geographic service area in 2008. In addition to commercial construction, Bayview also builds estate homes, which have garnered many industry and design awards for the company.
