ARC of Martin County Announces Susan Burrows and Joshua Harris to Board of Directors

The ARC of Martin County announces the addition of Susan Burrows and Joshua Harris to their Board of Directors. Susan Burrows is a retired educator with the Martin County School Board; she opened the Challenger School as the original Principal and held that position for the last 20 years. Ms. Burrows currently volunteers on the Hibiscus House program committee and with the Treasure Coast Civitans.

Ms. Burrows has been involved with agencies similar to the ARC since she was 14 years old and brings a wealth of information on disability related issues. She is pleased that her retirement has afforded her the free time to get more involved with the ARC of Martin County and is hoping to use her experience in programs and services provided to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Joshua Harris is a Vice President and Business Banker with National City/PNC in Palm City, a position he has held for four years. He is proud to call Palm City home for the last eight years and shares this experience with his wife and two sons.

Mr. Harris is a Board Member of the Economic Council of Martin County, Treasurer of Sailfish Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the finance committee at Treasure Coast Presbyterian Church. He hopes to use his CPA and banking experience to enhance the ARC of Martin County's Board of Directors.

"It is a pleasure to welcome Susan and Josh to our Board of Directors" said ARC CEO Keith Muniz. "I know they have a lot to offer as we strive to enhance and achieve our mission of supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities to have a full, productive and
meaningful life."

The ARC of Martin County is a non-profit organization that has been providing supports and assistance to children and adults with developmental disabilities since 1956.
