FORT PIERCE - St. Lucie County, along with other government agencies, will hold a large auction Saturday, May 10 at the St. Lucie County Logistics Center, 3855 South U.S. 1, starting at 10 a.m.

The public is encouraged to inspect the items available for auction from 9 - 10 a.m. that day. More than 70 vehicles will be available for purchase, including GMC Sonomas, Ford Explorers, Jeep Cherokees, Ford F-150s, Chevy Astros and Dodge Rams. All vehicles are well maintained with reasonable mileage. Heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks and bucket trucks are available. Everything sells to the highest bidder, regardless of price, and items are sold "as is, where is." A 10 percent "buyer's premium" is charged on all sales. Payment must be made in full: cash, casher's check or check with bank letter of guarantee.

For vehicles and heavy equipment, a $500 cash deposit per vehicle is required at the time of bidding with the balance due at checkout in cash or with check to be swapped out for cash by noon on Monday, May 12.

The removal of miscellaneous items must take place the day of the auction. Vehicles and heavy equipment must be removed by noon on Monday, May 12.

The auction will be held rain or shine.
