Royal Palms of St. Lucie

Palm Pyramid Awards $23,000

The Royal Palms of St. Lucie is a women's organization committed to developing the potential of women, promoting volunteerism, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It is our goal to support non-profit organizations and charitable endeavors devoted to improving the lives of women and children within our community. Each year, local non-profit organizations complete our funding application and speak at our annual meeting in October. Members of The Royal Palms vote on how the organizations will receive funds distributed via the Palm Pyramid.

This year, The Royals Palms distributed $23,000 to local agencies. The awards presentation took place on Thursday January 10 th. The Gold recipient of the Palm Pyramid was Daniel M. Foundation. They received a check for $10,000. This agency provides family focused services to parents of children with emotional and behavioral difficulties through respite care and parent training. Monies received will be used to enhance the learning lab by providing the children with Math and Reading programs. The two Silver recipients received $3,500 and were PACE Center for Girls and United for Families (Shoes that Fit Program). The four Bronze recipients received $1,500 and were CASTLE, Childrens Home Society, Alzheimer's Community Care, and IRCC Foundation.

The Royal Palms hold three fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for the Palm Pyramid. This year's events include: Viva Las Vegas, a holiday ornament sale, and the Sportsman Charity Shootout.
