Publix Super Markets raised $252,717 during their annual United Way workplace campaign this year. The organization, founded on the principles of giving back to their local communities for the past 78 years, is once again the top campaign during United Way of St. Lucie County's annual fundraising campaign.
From the cashiers and baggers to the upper management, Publix continually comes through year after year to raise money for the people in our community.
"At Publix, they have the spirit of giving", stated Terri Sloan-Bartz, Vice President of Seacoast National Bank and this year's Campaign Chair. "All 10 stores in our community work very hard to make a difference in the lives of people in our community."
Publix Super Markets recently received a Top 10 Workplace Campaign award at United Way's annual Campaign Appreciation Luncheon. In addition, Publix was recognized as a Circle of Honor recipient, the highest honor United Way can bestow on an organization, to recognize their dollar contributions, quality of campaign, employee support, percent of participation, and non-financial contributions.
