Care Net Pregnancy Services will hold its 19th Annual Fund Raising Banquets on Thursday, September 4 and Friday, September 5. The community has an opportunity to choose between two dates to attend "Celebrate the JOY of Life." Care Net clients and their babies feel they have much to celebrate. Clients, like Jennifer Amaro, will be joining the banquet to share her story and allow you to meet in person her beautiful little girl Alana, born December 2, 2007.
This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Bob Reccord, a business man, author, senior pastor of three churches, and president of one of the world's largest mission's organizations, is a passionate supporter of the value of the life of every child. Dr. Reccord has been the distinguished speaker at PromiseKeeper's and the Care Net National Conference. His passion is convincing and riveting.
The annual banquet is the primary fundraising event for Care Net Pregnancy Services. Care Net is a non-profit organization that helps men and women faced with unplanned pregnancies; they provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing, education on sexually transmitted diseases, fetal development and abortion methods along with an explanation of the risks. These services are all available free of charge. Care Net has trained counselors and a 24-hour helpline; they provide parenting classes and give community referrals for medical care, housing & food, education & job opportunities, legal & child care aid. All their services are free.
Community support is vital. The banquet will give you the opportunity to assist this organization with your financial gift, pledges of time, talents, and other resources. This is an adult function and while the banquet is free, seating is limited and reservations are required by August 29. Seating will begin at 6:30pm on both evenings at the Hutchinson Island Marriot Beach Resort, 555 NE Ocean Blvd in Stuart.
