Care Net Pregnancy Services of the Treasure Coast would like to thank our community supporters for the phenomenal response to our 20th Annual Fund Raising Event which took place on September 25 th at the New Civic Center in Port St. Lucie. Almost 600 people from Martin and St. Lucie Counties made reservations, dressed in their finest and came to show their support for the services that Care Net provides in a two county area.
Baby Jaden was the "star." We all shed tears with Jana, his mommy, as she described the highs and lows of the unplanned pregnancy that Care Net walked through with her. Jana "represented" the more than 3,000 individuals served in our two county locations in the past 12 months.
Our keynote speaker, Janet Parshall is host of Janet Parshall's America, a nationally syndicated program originating from Washington, D.C. She was incredibly motivating on how to meet the needs our society is presently facing.
The fund raising at the end of the night saw our highest increase of monthly pledges in the history of the Center. It could easily be seen that this wonderful group of well wishers understands the full range of client care at Care Net that starts with free pregnancy and HIV tests, progresses to free ultrasounds done by licensed, certified ultra-sonographers includes abortion recovery classes and education groups as needed. They also offer parenting classes that teach through a reward system connected to baby supplies. Finally, Willow described the 1600+ students who received the authentic abstinence education called "Protect The Heart" at local schools and youth groups.
Anyone there would not doubt that we are making a difference
one life at a time. On behalf our clients who receive all our services free and confidentially because of you, we thank you.
