Save Our High School Athletics!
Contributed by: Bill Ronayne on 10/19/2009

In these harsh economic times, it is tragic local schools are forced to make drastic budget cuts in school athletics to the obvious detriment of our children, our most precious resource. School athletics prepare youths for the future by teaching universal rules of good sportsmanship, the importance of team efforts and the value of fair play in today's competitive environment while keeping physically fit.

Saint Lucie Lanes, located at 6759 S US 1 in Port St. Lucie remains committed to the local residents of the Treasure Coast and proudly hosts the Saint Lucie Lanes High School Bowling Challenge, Saturday, October 24th, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Support our children's athletic program. 50% of your $10.00 donation goes directly to the school athletics department of your choice while you enjoy 1 hour of bowling and the opportunity to earn bragging rights for your school. The high school with the most pins knocked down during the event will be declared the winner!

Contact your favorite high school's athletic department for more information; Lincoln Park - 595-1102, Fort Pierce Central - 468-5760, Fort Pierce Westwood - 468 5413, St. Lucie West Centennial - 785-6673, Port St. Lucie High - 337-6725 and Treasure Coast High - 807-4306.

Few places in South Florida have the combination of scope, size and staff to put it all together as your community center for family and fun. We are focused on improving the lives of all residents on the Treasure Coast and this High School Challenge, Saturday, October 24th at 1:00 PM is just one of the ways we prove our ongoing commitment.
