The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Treasure Coast Chapter is pleased to announce that nominations are being accepted for the National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) Awards Luncheon, to take place November 13, 2008 at the Tesoro Club, Port St Lucie.

In 2008, more than 125 communities and 50,000 people around the world will participate in NPD events and celebrations. This year's luncheon will be the 14 th annual National Philanthropy Day® event held by the local chapter of AFP. Martin County Community Foundation is the luncheon sponsor.

NPD committee members have been hard at work to ensure that those who have contributed to the betterment of the Treasure Coast through their philanthropic efforts to local non-profit organizations are recognized. But the nomination process relies on the community to bring these outstanding philanthropists and volunteers to the forefront.

NPD is accepting nominations in the following categories: Individual Philanthropist, Volunteer Fundraiser, Corporate Philanthropist, Small Business Philanthropist, Group Supporting Philanthropy, Youth in Philanthropy, Youth Group in Philanthropy, and Unsung Hero.
