The Harbors Center for Grief and Loss provide services specially designed for individuals who are anticipating or have experienced the loss of a loved-one. These programs are available to hospice families and to others in the community.

Grieving is an expectable reaction to the loss and can be manifested by a variety of symptoms including confusion, fatigue, stress and physical complaints. Learning to cope with life's inevitable losses in a positive manner can result in gaining new strengths, ideals and relationships.

The Harbors offers counseling in an individual or group setting for adults. Types of group meetings and days held are below.

Monday: Caregivers Support, ROUTES (Social Support - PSL), Buddy Club (Social Support - Indian River Presbyterian) and Loss of a Child

Tuesday: Closed Educational Group, Bereavement Groups and Compassionate Friends (child loss)

Wednesday: Bereavement Groups

Thursday: Closed Educational Groups, Bereavement Groups, Young Widow (raising children alone), and Survivors of Suicide

Friday: ROUTES (Social Support - Stuart) and Caregiver Support

Individual and group counseling is available for children and teens as well. Services are also provided for schools and businesses.
