CASTLE recently honored its many volunteers in a festive, outdoor celebration. A total of twelve individuals and organizations had been selected to receive special recognition for their many hours of dedicated service to CASTLE, as well as for the many special privileges given. The 2008 award recipients were: Kathy Donovan, Fran Powell, Virginia Going, Bob Davis, Gateway Building & Design, Stephanie Dunseth, Jake May, Kevin Sandigo, Linda Chastain, Scripps Newspapers of the TC, Eric Menger, Norris' Famous Place for Ribs, National City, QVC, Seacoast National Bank and Southern Eagle.
A very special award was presented to Jim Anderson of Core Communities, who was the first ever to receive the CASTLE Emeritus Award. Jim has been an enthusiastic supporter of CASTLE for twelve years and brought strong leadership to the organization, as well as a considerable amount of financial support from a diverse group of area businesses. "Jim's distinguished service to our organization inspired us to reach for a higher level of recognition", explains Theresa Garbarino-May, CASTLE's Executive Director.
CASTLE is proud of all its supporters and volunteers and expresses its deep appreciation to all who tirelessly contribute their time and effort to the mission of child abuse prevention.
