Christmas Comes Early For Dogs & Cats
Contributed by: Andrea Nicholson on 11/2/2009

Christmas came early for the shelter pets at Dogs & Cats Forever.
More than 1,300 pounds of dog and cat food and cat litter was collected at the Port St. Lucie branch of BankAtlantic, 147 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard. The food drive was begun on August 21st, and ended on October 17th.
"When people found out that we were collecting for the animals, they were very generous," said Branch Manager Dawn Bloomfield . BankAtlantic Regional Manager Libby Delosh was on hand to present the mountain of food to Dogs & Cats Forever Executive Director, Jay Apicella. "This will help us tremendously," said Apicella, who noted that the shelter depends 100% on donations from the public.
