The Humane Society has lots of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies available for adoption right now! The small adoption fee ($60 cat/$75 dog) includes a vet check, vaccinations, a microchip, and spay or neuter. Please see our website www.hsslc.org for pictures of many more available animals.

We have some GREAT guys here at the shelter who are seriously in need of forever homes. They are all different (as most boys are), each with his own unique personality, each a great dog in his own right!

Truman: Lab/Terrier mix. This is a very unusual dog. Great personality, very calm and loving, looks like a lab with chin hair! He's about 7 months old: neutered, housebroken and good with kids. He's ready to go home today...so come in and check him out!

Shaggy: Shaggy is a very small Terrier Mix male that came in as a stray. He's about 1 yr old, very friendly, weighs about 10 lbs. He recently underwent heartworm treatment so he needs to go to a home where he can be quiet for the next 4-6 weeks. After that, he can be as playful as you like!

Mickey: Cockapoo mix. This is one cute dog! He's about 5 years old with an awesome personality. He does need some dental work (cleaning, etc) but is otherwise healthy and ready to find a forever home. This is a good dog for people with allergies as some poodles seem to be non-allergy creating dogs. Also, if adopted by a Senior (55+) the adoption fee is reduced to $20.

Shorty: American Bull Dog mix. Shorty is a 3 yr old neutered male with a great personality and lots of energy! He's good with kids of all ages and cats too! His owner had to move and couldn't take him, so he needs a new family to be with!

Radar: Belgian Shepherd Mix. Look at those ears! This young man is about 6 months old and still growing, but should be a nice, medium size dog. He came in as a stray so not much else is known about him. Come down and get to know him soon!

Eddie: Pit/Hound mix.Eddie is a beautiful young man, about 4 yrs old and 50 lbs. He's friendly and well-mannered and loves to play. He's been temperment tested and is ok for children. Since he is a Pit mix, a fence is required for this guy.
