From Lemons to Lemonade
Contributed by: Louise Murtaugh on 11/18/2008

STUART, FL - Artist Sara Fisher made lemonade from lemons. She recently had the opportunity to pursue a life-long dream of painting. Due to an auto accident, she became unable to work. Finding herself with a lot of time on her hands, she picked up whatever paintbrush and paper she had in the house and began to paint. The loss of career acted as a catalyst. And so with a 20 year old paintbrush and a piece of drafting mylar, she created her first Translucent Luminous Painting.

Ms. Fisher will exhibit her works at Molly's Gallery during the month of December. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, December 4 from 4 - 7 p.m. The public is invited to visit with Ms. Fisher during the opening reception. Molly's Gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. The exhibit encompasses the common areas of the three story Victorian home on Osceola Street.

How essential to life it is to have the arts in our community to fortify the spirit. Ironically, misfortune brings with it some good. For Sara, she re-discovered her passion. "I hope my art brings others the "joie de vivre" I feel when I am painting and remind them of when the wonders of the world were huge and their troubles small", stated Ms. Fisher.
