Stuart, FL - Calling all children interested in art! The Florida Marlins presented Molly's Gallery with a $1000 grant for their upcoming Children's Art Program. The program is designed to help children realize their potential for creating art.

Each day during the week of June 22 through the 26th, children ages 8 - 12 can participate in art instruction from Angela LoTufo, a member of the Hobe Sound Art League. LoTufo will be on hand teaching the fundamentals of art to the children. While at the Gallery the children will tour the exhibit from local resident David Smythe.

The focus of the art will be educational as well as a hands on experience. The artwork made by the children that week will be on display at the Gallery Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, so their parents and the public can come by and see their artwork.

The Children's Art Program will be held from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Molly's House, 430 SE Osceola Street, Stuart. Children can sign up for one session only. The art supplies and snack will be provided at no cost, thanks to the Florida Marlins Foundation.

Registration is limited to 12 children per session. To sign up for the Children's Art Program, call in the afternoon Monday through Friday, 772.223.6659.

Molly's Gallery is located inside Molly's House, Stuart. Molly's House is a hospital hospitality house that provides temporary lodging for patients and their families receiving medical care on the Treasure Coast (Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties).
