Summer was here and I really needed to find a hobby or craft to keep me busy. I joined the Treasure Coast Wood Carvers and started learning to carve.

Summer is the best time to come see us because many of our members go north for the summer but many talented carvers are year rounders. They love to share their skills and I was carving immediately. Not sure that I would like it, I hesitated purchasing even a knife. Didn't even know what kind of knife! Patiently Don took me step by step and soon I had a finished critter.

If you've ever had a yen to carve and If you are summer bored, come join us on Tuesday morning at the Walton Community Center on Ridge Ave. in Port St Lucie, from 9-11:30. Come find your hidden talents. Looing forward to meeting you..
