I just discovered a very special restaurant that is easily a top Italian eatery in all Port St. Lucie - Paisano's on Veteran's Memorial Drive (formerly Midport) across from the Post Office.

Paisano's has everything I like; high quality cuisine, a beautiful setting, and very reasonable prices. My husband brought home a pizza from Paisano's after work this Friday - the best I've tasted in the Treasure Coast. He told me about the beautiful setting on the river and showed me their menu of wonderful selections at affordable prices. So we decided to try brunch on Sunday. We were more than pleased.

The interior is warm and cozy and exterior surroundings are relaxing and pleasant overlooking the river. I ordered an omelet that was not only tasty, but surprisingly light and fluffy. The owner explained that they bake their omelets in the oven to give it such agreeable texture - free of grease and oils. My husband loved the all natural red sauce that is prepared with no sugar. And beer was $1.00 - can you believe it?

Brunch for 2, under $20!!! What a great find. I've driven by this place many times but never noticed it. Paisano's is worth the trip.
