I just don't think people are going to take this anymore. Terrorism is defined by the FBI as "the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives." This new advertisement by Republicans warns to voters that "these are the stakes". It also features the image and words of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. It quotes him as saying "What is yet to come will be even greater". Why are they commercializing al Qaeda? Why are they spreading his message of terror? Why are they aiding the terrorists by spreading this message? Are they trying to scare Americans to the voting both? Do they want to be the party known for capitalizing from terrorists and war? I am so disgusted with the Republican leadership for letting this ad play that it's beyond words. When I watched this ad play I was reminded of George W Bush's lead up to the war in Iraq. When he warned that the United States could not wait for "the smoking gun that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud." He didn't wait, and put the country and troops at risk with poor planning. Now look at the mess we are in.
It's time for responsible leadership. It's time for accountability. That can happen with representatives from both party's. Sadly, it is not happening now. It's time for a change.
