China's Human Rights before and after Beijing Olympic

When bidding to host the 2008 Olympic Games in 2001, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) pledged to improve Human-Rights and won the bid. Did the Human Rights improved in China after Olympic, of course not

Under the scrutiny of the world, the Beijing Olympic Games finished with Woo and Ah from people around the world. But how much did the foreigners really get to know the real Chinese Communist Party, how they operate and use their iron fist to control its citizens? Not much because CCP uses political and economic pressure to silence Western media and politicians.

Behind closed doors, the CCP is still arresting Chinese citizens who dare to voice their grievances or Spiritual groups CCP think might be posing a tread to them; especially a spiritual group of people called Falun Dafa or Falun Gong practitioners .

A traditional Chinese spiritual discipline for mind and body taught by Master Li was started in 1992. Within five years, the number of Falun Gong practitioners had exceeded the CCP membership. The practice involves exercises of slow gentle movements and meditation similar to Tai Chi and or Gigong. Its principles are based on TRUTHFULNES, COMPASSION, and TOLERANCE. If practiced every day, it can help to relieve stress, anxiety, gain energy, inner strength and improve physical and mental health. (reference: www.falundafa.org)

Communist's ideology is atheistic; anything of a spiritual nature is discouraged and often outlawed. Former CCP leader, Jiang Zemin decided that the Falun Gong must be eliminated because he was jealous and feared Falun Gong's popularity; this brought the most unspeakable de-humanizing tortures and killings that began in 1999 and seems to have no end. The practitioners were arrested in their homes, in streets and or at workplaces without any trial; jailed, and put them through inhuman barbaric tortures. Nearly four thousand have died; about three thousand have been reported missing and more than sixty thousand are still locked up in prisons.

David Matas, a human rights lawyer, and David Kilgour, former Canadian secretary of state (Asia Pacific) are still investigating the Chinese hospitals harvesting living organs from Falun Gong practitioners for sale to rich Chinese and the foreigners.

According to a reliable China insiders' information; the CCP uses one quarter of their annual budget to fund a agency called 610 Office; the agency was set up specifically to persecute Falun Gong and give orders to their local authorities and diplomatic people around the world to interfere with Falun Gong practitioners' activities. The prosecutors are still investigating the instance at the Chinese consulate in New York City as to who orchestrated the harassment against Falun Gong in Flushing, N.Y. on May, 2008.

Faced with those obstacles from CCP, Falun Gong practitioners have not backed down, instead the number of people around the world practicing it have reached 86 countries and more then

100 million followers. You can still see the Falun Dafa practitioners faithfully going to Beijing's Tenement Square and to Chinese embassies around the world doing their peaceful protest and candle light vigils for the inhuman treatment, week after week, year after year, rain, shine or snow.
