Home Runs Win the Game

The Treasure Coast Young Guns played in the Triple Crown Sports Tournament this weekend in St. Augustine Florida and returned home victorious again. The team, coached by Jesus Vasquez, George Walsh and Bennett Richardson, did not win the championship due to the total run count but ended ahead winning 3 out of 5 games in the 9U Division. The combination of incredible pitching skills, field play and multiple home run hits by Lyon Richardson and Darius Diaz, made for an exciting series. The team battled through thunderstorms, lightning and 49 degree weather throughout the series. "It was freezing but we had fun playing in the cold weather" said Joseph Calabria. The Treasure Coast Young Guns are planning to travel to Cooperstown this summer to play against teams from all over the country and visit the Hall of Fame.
