PSL Legacy Dance Team Wins 07' State & Nationals!

After two years of existance this dance team is keeping the "Legacy" alive.
Legacy Dance Team retained their All-Star State and National Championship titles!
Since Director Dawn Nabors started Legacy in 2005, the team has made quite an impression around the community and on the Florida dance scene. Legacy specilaizes in Hip Hop, Jazz, Novelty, Prop, and Fusion along with some Breakdancing.
Legacy awards include: 2006 Starz of the Future Teen Dance Winners, 2006 FDTDA State All-Star Champions, 2006 National All-Star Champions, 2007 ADA State All-Star Champions, 2007 FDTDA State All-Star Champions, 2007 FDTDA two Judges awards for Prop and Hip hop, 2007 MA Regional SuperSweepstakes Winners, and 2007 National All-Star Champions.

Legacy has a following of fans, parents, friends and family that appreciate the professionalism of the dancers which ages range from 12 to 18 years old. The compliments I like the most come from audiences and judges that appreciate our "clean" style of dancing, costuming and edited music which is very challenging to find when dealing with the Hip hop category as well as other styles. We can be funky and take it to the streets style wise but still keep it clean so younger siblings and grandparents can enjoy our performances.

Whether these dancers are performing in a local show or competing in a competiton they give 110% and are amazing entertainers! They have so much energy, style and personality when they are on stage. When the Legacy dancers perform, they own that stage, they are professionals and the crowd loves them. They love to dance and it shows! These Legacy dancers work hard, play hard and dance hard. They are very disiplined and take pride in what they do. We are a very close team, like family and the dancers are very supportive of each other. We spend a lot of time together. Every Saturday we practice for 5 hours. You have to really love dance to put in that much time, effort and dedication. I have a great group of girls and supportive parents. I am truly blessed, I love my team and I love what I do! It is so much fun creating new choreography ideas and having the dancers bring them to life. From Novelty "Kung Fu" dancing with nun chucks, Prop Hip hop/Jazz while throwing and catching Footballs to live Barbie dolls that can also breakdance. We have a lot fun trying things that people have never seen before. We like to be original!

Legacy is winding down from the competition season although we still have multiple performances scheduled at upcoming events. Come support the team and check us out at our next function!

When: Saturday, March 17, 2007
Time: 1:30pm-4:00pm (you will be taught a combination)
Where: 261 SE Port St. Lucie Blvd. (Lakeside Center)
Located in Kaizen Leadership Karate (off Airoso)
Ages: 11yrs-18yrs, Girls & Boys. Dancers can not turn 19yrs. till March 2008.
What to wear: Comfortable workout/dance clothes & socks (we will be dancing on mats)
Join our FREE open Hip Hop class on "Bring a Freind Day"! We are looking for high energy female and male dancers that love to perform. Learn the latest choreography from the hottest team around. Dance experience is a plus but not required just love of dance and dedication.
*Parents need to sign a permission form for dancers to be able to participate! Call Director Dawn Nabors @ 561-965-2119 to reserve your spot, space is limited!
*Dancers who excell in this class will get an invitation to join the team for the rest of the season and will perform in our end of the season show. New dancers will start practicing with the team on the following Saturday, March 24, 2007 and every Saturday thereafter untill the end of season show on May 27, 2007.

If you miss our "Bring A Friend Day" on March 17th, the next chance to join Legacy Dance Team will be our auditions over the summer...

I would like to congratulate the 2006/2007 State & National Champion Legacy dancers: Jessica Alessandrini, Francesca Alvarez, Alyssa Diego, Keri Liberatore, Jennah Liskin, Dana Mills, Desiree Pare', Jesssica Payne, Megan Pease, Alexandra Rynca, Delaney Saunders, Kelsey Spaulding, Andrea' Votinelli, Daniele Williams, and Alex Woodward! Congrats to Legacy's soloist winners: Ms. Alexandra Rynca(1st place Nationals) and Ms. Daniele Williams(3rd place Nationals). I am so proud of you all!
