Fishing Rod Giveaway at Tradition Field

The Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast (MIATC) in conjunction with AllSports Productions, will give away free fishing rods to children twelve and under at the St. Lucie Mets home game on April 19, 2008. The first 100 children through the gate will receive a voucher for the fishing rod and reel combos. The voucher is redeemed as they exit the game anytime after the 7th inning of play.

"We want to encourage our youth to enjoy the sport of fishing. This is a fun outdoor activity that can be enjoyed for a lifetime," says Vera Locke, Executive Director of MIATC. The game begins at 6:00pm and the gates will open one hour prior to game time.
