Juventus of PSL off to a good start

On Saturday May 17th, Juventus of PSL won it's inaugural game of the Florida Elite Soccer League 2008 Season. Juventus of PSL (Last year played as the PSL Hurricanes) beat the high ranked Palmeiras FC of Palm City 4-3 in overtime. The winning goal was scored in the 7th minute of the overtime period by Fabrizio Scaccia which also was his 3rd goal of the match. The other goal was scored on a nice play by Adam Pita. Juventus was down 0-2 at the end of the first half, but team manager Jack Digiorgio had faith in his team that they would prevail. "The team has worked hard and they deserved the win" Jack said, "It was an exciting match and well played by both sides".
The Juventus of PSL team consists of players ranging from 18-24 years old and features many players from the local area; Defenders Alex Baptiste, Nate Knight, Chris Olah, Josimar Osorio, Eric Sinner, Armando Balzano and Amhad Toom. Midfielders Jerry Balzer, Aron Correa, Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Sean Harris, Jake Scott, Gary Weintraub and Sam Good. Forwards Tonio Digiorgio, Fabrizio Scaccia and Adam Pita, Goal Keepers Dany Houston and Roman Garcia make up the roster for Juventus. The team is coached by ex Guatemala National team player Alfredo Mora and is assisted by Maurizio Verbeni who was a professional keeper in Italy and Gibo Rosin who worked with Inter of Milan.
The next home games for Juventus are Saturday, May 31st at 5:35 pm against the Space Coast Strikers at South County Stadium (St. Lucie West) and on Saturday, June 11th at 7:35 pm against the Treasure Coast Galleons also held at South County Stadium.
