Boxers Put On a Show at Summer Slam II

Local boxing fans were treated to an evening of excitement on Saturday, June 7 when the Summer Slam II tournament took place at the Port St. Lucie Police Athletic League Gym. Twenty five bouts matched up some of the finest amateur boxers from across the state, representing Police Athletic Leagues and private boxing clubs.

The Port St. Lucie PAL had three boxers who came away with victories. Alan Garcia, 16, was a winner at 129 lbs. Nicholas Chin,19, decisively won his bout at 128 lbs., and Jake Gustav, 14, was a winner at 133 lbs.

Lenroy Thompson, 19, representing the Fort Pierce PAL, was also a winner.
