A group of 20 dancers from Port St. Lucie
Ultimate Cheer and Dance All Stars
goes to Orlando for a Hip Hop Convention. The dancers worked with some of the best Choreographers in the world. The choreographers were
Dave Scott
choreographed for So You Think You Can Dance, Stomp the Yard, and You Got Served,
Jamal Sims
choreographed for HairSpray the Movie, Hannah Montana the movie, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Usher, and P.Diddy,
Rhapsody
choreographed for Beyonce, Eve, PussyCat Dolls, Nina Sky, and R. Kelly,
Kevin Maher
choreographed for Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Bring It On, Yet Again, and Rihanna,
Mr. Wiggles
choreographed Electric Boogaloos, Limpbizkit and Usher. The dancers were taught the latest Hip Hop moves and techniques. The Convention was a 3 day convention that was packed with 7 classes a day of hip hop with each choreographer. On one of the nights the dancers were able to watch a Showcase of Hip Hop crews from Holland, Guam, Tennessee, Georgia and many other areas of the Country. Two of 6 dance teachers from Ultimate went to this convention and learn from these choreographers in an intimate setting. The teachers in this teacher's class learned advanced techniques and moves from all the choreographers. They also were able to ask questions and dance side by side with the choreographers. Teachers Niki Willis and Brittany Gomez said they were amazed on how much they learned. They said working with the best in the world was a great experience, and they can't wait until next year. Owners Bobby and Sherry Gomez plan on bringing even more students next year to the Monsters of Hip Hop Convention. They plan on bringing 40 to 50 students. They have seen a growth of Hip Hop teams in their studio. They give credit to the growth in their studio to all the dance shows on TV. They have 7 competitive Hip Hop teams and growing. The ages range from 4 years old to 26 years old. Ultimate is starting non competitive Hip Hop classes.
Ultimate Cheer & Dance All Stars
has also opened a new gym in Martin County. The new location is in Palm City formerly Spectrum Elite All Stars. For more information call 772-335-1398 or email
