Throughout the year, the PSL Police Athletic League hosts Hot Shot basketball competitions all over Port St. Lucie. The latest competition took place at Lyngate Park on the Fourth of July when area youth showed their skills.

The individual winners by age level were:
10-11-12 yr. old: Edwin DeJesus
13-14-15 yr. old: Tia-Rose Raymond
16-17-18 yr. old: Anthony William

Each winner was awarded a new basketball and a PAL Sports T-shirt.
