Fall Sports Rev Up at PAL

Port St. Lucie PAL is gearing up for the start of the Fall sports season. Registration for PAL's wrestling, karate, and tennis programs will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 10 am until 2 pm at the PAL Gym at 2101 SE Tiffany Avenue.

The Wrestling program for boys and girls ages 4 to 15 begins on September 17 and continues through May 15, 2010. Instruction is delivered by Officer William Harris, Ross Hoffman and several volunteers. Beginning wrestlers will meet on Saturdays from 9 am until 10 am. Advanced wrestlers will meet on Thursdays from 6pm until 8pm and on Saturdays from 10 am until noon. All classes meet at the PAL Gym, and the cost is $100 for all of the sessions from September through May.

Tennis instruction is delivered in a mini-clinic format. Boys and girls ages 8 to 14 will meet on Saturdays from 9 am until 10:30 am, starting on September 19 and running through November 21. Classes meet at Jessica Clinton Park tennis courts and the cost is $35 per player for 10 sessions.

The Karate Program is presented as a five week introductory clinic. Classes meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights at the PAL Gym from 6:30 until 8:00pm. Instruction is provided by Hanshi Robert Fabrey (10th degree Grand Master), Sensei Rich Wilson (4th degree Black Belt), and Sensei Joe Fabrey (4th degree Black Belt). The cost of the 5 week session is $40 per youth. Classes begin immediately.
