Ginn Sur MER Classic Officially Tourism Friendly

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla.-- During the Pro-Am pairing event held at the Tesoro Clubhouse on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd, the Ginn Sur Mer Classic at Tesoro was presented this quarter's Tourism Friendly Business award.

John Subers, Tournament Director, accepted the award presented by Trudi Davis of the Holiday Inn Express located in Fort Pierce. Also with Davis was Odaly Victorio, the Marketing and Public Relations Specialist for St. Lucie County's Tourist Development Council. Victorio noted the tournament staff has been "fantastic to work with."
The tournament is expected to generate between $20 to $30 million economic impact to the local economy. Most importantly, it will introduce millions watching the Golf Channel coverage to the golf paradise that is Port St. Lucie.

The St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce's Tourism Committee nominates and votes for a Tourism Friendly Business each quarter. Previous winners include SuperPlay USA, Hometown News and the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds.
