Holding Hands
My husband, Tony and I stopped in Walmart on Tuesday afternoon to pick up some groceries, while walking into the store from the parking lot we were holding hands. An elderly gentleman that was leaving the store made a sweet comment about our "holding hands". (We are both in our 70's.) Behind us two ladies also stopped us to comment on the fact that we were "holding hands". I mentioned to my husband that if he had put his arm around me, we would probably have stopped traffic on U.S. 1! Holding hands, we are friends, and we love each other, it brought a highlight to our afternoon, everyone should try it. Who knows you might get caught at it!!!

Hi Joan, What a sweet blog. I notice people who are in love. Love is ageless. After my father passed away my mother didn't even think about marrying again until she was introduced to a minister my brother was friends with. They held hands, something my father, who I loved beyond words, did not do with her. This marriage at the age of 75 was a great romance for her. So, what a nice footnote that the two of you show your affection.

I think it's great that you are holding hands in Walmart. If more people spent time holding hands everyday we'd probably have a lot less divorces. It's an intimate gesture that has been lost in our busy world. Good for you! Sharon
