"An Introduction to Butterfly Gardening"will be presented by Suzanne Valencia on Tuesday, May 20th, at 7 p.m., at the North Indian River County Library. This Power Point presentation will teach you how to attract butterflies to your garden, the value of using native plants as both nectar and host plants, the life cycle of the butterfly including specific host plants for specific butterflies, and many little know facts of butterfly life. To get you started a number of native plants will be given away as well as printed literature listing sites for further information.
Everyone is invited to attend this free program sponsored by the Turtle Coast Sierra Club. There will be a social hour with refreshments before the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. For more information call the Library at (772) 589-1355.
