Chamber to Hold IRC Commission Candidates Forum

The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce has invited all of the candidates for the Indian River County Commission races to participate in a Candidates Forum. This Forum, sponsored by the Chamber is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 7:00pm to 9pm. The Candidates Forum will be held at the City of Sebastian Council Chambers, in the City's Administrative Complex. The Forum's moderator is Rene VandeVoorde, a past president of the Chamber, and a local Sebastian attorney who has been in Sebastian for over twenty five years.
This Forum is open to the public, and the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, through its moderator, will pose questions to the candidates that have been developed by Chamber members, business people and representatives from the North County Community. This Forum will be televised on the City of Sebastian governmental channel 25, and will be available to the viewing public.
The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce is a business organization, with six hundred business members, representing approximately 2,000 employees in the area. The Chamber is dedicated to supporting business, promoting tourism and working on quality of life issues in the community. The Chamber is celebrating its fiftieth year as a business organization in the Sebastian River area.
