SRMS Spirt Week Painted Pumpkin Winners

Sebastian River Middle school art teacher , Pamela Sommers and Library Media Specialist, Julie Milliman collaborated on a Painted Pumpkin project for the Media Center. Ms. Sommers ' students painted pumpkins to reflect a book character or book theme. The pumpkins are on display in the Library Media Center. The pumpkins were judged by various teacher and staff members. Each winner was given gift certificates to Walden Books or AMC theatre. Eighth grade Best of Show was Alissa Albrecht for her ink representation of Amulet of Samarkand. Seventh grade Best of Show was Emmanuel Arce for his painted presentation of Pink Panther and sixth grade Best of Show was Rachel Ludwig for her colorful representation for Seekers.
