"Flora & Fauna" Exhibit Reception a Success

Southeast Gallery of Photographic Art in Downtown Vero Beach was filled to capacity last week during the artists' reception for their latest exhibit entitled "Flora & Fauna." Approximately 150 guests enjoyed wine and cheese and had a chance to meet the artists and view their pieces of photographic art selected for this beautiful exhibit.

All 38 pieces in this juried exhibit were judged by local photographer John Eisenger, with the winning images announced at the reception. The "Best of Show" ribbon went to J. Scott Kelly for "Tonto," an early morning image of a grazing horse under a majestic oak tree. First place was awarded to Denise Ritchie for her beautiful image of a single tulip entitled "Salutation to the Sun." Melinda Moore received second place for her piece entitled "Inner Light" and the image selected for third place was "Mossy Waterfall" by Matt Dee.

The "Flora & Fauna" exhibit is one you won't want to miss. Each image captures the colors, textures, intensity and personality of the living world around us in its own unique way. Don't wait too long though; this exhibit will only be on display until September 27th. Southeast Gallery of Photographic Art is open Tuesday through Saturday 11 am to 6 pm and is located at 1446 19th Place, Suite 100, (on the north side of the eastbound artery of State Road 60 - just west of 14th Avenue) in Downtown Vero Beach.
