Twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall, the Sebastian Lions Club conducts their White Cane Drive. During each drive they solicit contributions from the general public for support of scholarships for Sebastian High School Seniors, the Florida Lions Camp for Handicapped individuals, the Sebastian Lions Needy Family Program, the Lions Eyeglass program and others. In conjunction with the fall White Cane drive they also solicit donations from local businesses. This year, four civic-minded businesses gave generously to the Sebastian Lions White Cane Drive and were presented with certificates of appreciation by the Lions for their contributions and their ongoing support of the community. They were, in alphabetical order, Arnold Air Conditioning, Bay Street Pharmacy, Dr. Henry Fischer DDS, and the Tax Authority. Pictures of the Lions presentations are attached. The Sebastian Lions sincerely appreciate these donations and encourage the community to support these civic-minded businesses whenever they have a need for their services.
