LIONS WORK ON LABOR DAY WHILE COMMUNITY PLAYS
Contributed by: Charles Smits on 9/8/2009

Although Labor Day is a holiday and a day off from work for most people, the Sebastian Lions spent the day working for charity. Invited to be a part of the Labor Day celebration at Earl's Hideaway Lounge in Sebastian, Lions Club members popped popcorn and conducted raffles to earn money for the Florida Lions Camp and other Lions charities. The attached pictures show their booth complete with popcorn popper and some very hot Lions working hard. In spite of the heat, the patrons at Earl's were generous as always and bought popcorn and raffle tickets. The Lions, in conjunction with the American Legion, is also planning a Poker Run in November to benefit Lions charities and programs. The Lions and Legion are hoping for continued generosity and strong participation by the "biker" community. Once again, the Lions would like to thank Earl's and their patrons for outstanding support.
