O'Neill heads Sebastian Area Historical Society

At its September 14th Board Meeting George O'Neill was elected President of the Sebastian Area Historical Society. Other officers are: Vice President Barbara Solook; Treasurer Shirley Kilkelly; and Secretary Wilma Bertling. The Society operates a historical museum and reference center in the Historic Sebastian School building at 1235 Main Street in the Sebastian City Hall complex. Its first public program of the 2009-10 season will be Wednesday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. at North County Library with a film that gives a short glimpse of Florida in the 1930s. "In Marjorie's Wake" traces the 1933 journey of Pulitizer Prize winning author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings on the St. Johns River. The Program is free. Refreshments are served.
