Private Surf Sessions at Typhoon Lagoon

Smack in the middle of the Surf Expo Weekend in Orlando, the Coastal Surf & Ski family headed out to Typhoon Lagoon for 3 hours of private surf. The weather was perfect! The waves were ... well predictable ... the fun is what it's all about.

Twice a year we pack up the coastal van and go to Orlando for Surf Expo. It's "the" industry surf, wakeboard, ski, skateboard etc. trade show for the east coast. We go there to buy, meet reps and friends and have some fun. Our vendors throw parties, demo equipment at the lakes, let us touch and feel and try out all the new products or improved current products. What a blast right?

Well we've started a tradition. This is our second time renting a 3 hour (100 wave) session at Typhoon Lagoon. We bring friends, 8 of which surfed the rest of us took photos and just had fun watching. Nikki and Riley (my two grand-daughters) had a blast playing on the beach while their dad surfed in front of them. Get this ... the whole park is ours for these 3 hours ... completely empty! The waves are pumped out at a pace that gives us about 100 waves in 3 hours. Only those surfing can be in the water, but as you know and Disney park is so much fun just to sit and relax in. We love perching on top of one of those fake Disney rocks and just watching our son's and friends' surf.

Just so you know ... you can do this! Anyone can rent the park and it's a great way to learn to surf in a concentrated, controlled environment. Bring the family, everyone can learn together. Split the cost by sharing the experience with others. We'll be taking groups on a regular basis so if you want to try this with our group at Coastal just call us we're always up for Disney waves!

Great information, Ive always wanted to surf there, but wasnt quite sure how to. I gave them a call and they really informed me. Thanks Coastal Surf and Ski
