The staff and volunteers at H.A.L.O. take turns nursing these babies through the night until they are old enough to find good homes. In the case of a litter from a feral cat, there is the added advantage of hand raising these babies, finding them loving homes; therefore making the number of feral cats running loose less and less.
2. Because H.A.L.O. exists, other rescue shelters that put the animals down after a certain number of days, can call our shelter when the animals time is up, and if we have the room, our staff will pick up the animal and he/she will have a second chance at life.
