Michael's Restaurant offers a cafe atmosphere

LogOn has spent some time in the sun lately at the Sebastian Inlet, so it was only natural that hunger pangs strike him there. Shaking the sand from his shell, he makes his way to Michael's Restaurant in Sebastian.

Michael's Restaurant, located at 11632 U.S. Hwy 1 in Sebastian, has quite the inviting atmosphere. The restaurant itself is decorated in caf style, with candles on every table and a wine list prominently displayed. Its cozy motif welcomed even a sandy loggerhead to taste their delights.

Perusing the menu, it occurs to me to make a mental note to bring a companion here sometime soon to delight in their wine selection but for now I will try out their lunch menu.

I ordered coconut shrimp for $6.99. The lunch dish came with coconut rice and a tropical fruit salad. Having never tried coconut rice before, I was skeptical but tried it out anyway. What a wonderful complement to the coconut shrimp! As I was en
joying my rice and shrimp, I overheard two lunching ladies gushing over their coconut rice as well.

If seafood is not your taste, Michael's Restaurant serves many other dishes as well. For starters, the restaurant offers a variety of flat breads including marherita, steak and mushroom, grilled chicken and white flatbreads. These range in price from $4.99 to
$6.99.

Brusketta ranges in price from $7.25 to $8.99. Choices for brusketta include grilled, blackened or teriyaki marinated fish, seared tuna with cucumber, onion, avocado in a wasabi sauce or shrimp with avocado, roasted red peppers, onions and tomatoes.
Steak, chicken and seafood lunch entrees are also offered, choose from t-bone steak for $16.99, chicken marsala and mushrooms for $9.99, fish tacos for $6.99 and grilled mahi mahi for $8.50, to name just a few.

If a wrap or sandwich is what you are craving, Michael's Restaurant offers cheeseburgers, Cuban sandwiches, club sandwiches, and prime rib lavash sandwiches from $5.99 to $7.50.
