Blog Entry 46 of 75 Jean Sanders: Fine Art Daily - Painting Challenge
Every day, after eight or so hours at my day job, I will ignore my Best Beloved and the children (the Pouting Princess and Tall Boy) and I will go into my studio and will paint a small piece which I will then post for sale. All the paintings will be priced at $50.00 - a veritable bargain for original fine art that is matted and highly suitable for framing and prominent placement on your wall. Stop by daily to see the new work! Early in 2007 a wizard friend will be designing a website for me that will make it so much easier for you to see the new art. Until then, please email me at: fineartdaily@yahoo.com. Please remember that all the images are copyrighted and cannot be reproduced without permission.

Fine Art Daily - October 27, 2006

Phew, phew. What a week.

I am still waiting for the "severe weather" to arrive. Though I should not complain because I sat outside and had a bistro lunch in my wool blazer and did not get hot and sweaty. Fall is in the air, and the most dramatic evidence so far is that congregations of turkey vultures are returning to South Florida. Can the snowbirds be far behind? The crows are beginning to come back, too, caldrons of crows in those miles-long lines, that like to sit and cackle on the telephone wires.

Lucie - the wonder dog - does not like vultures or crows. Or cement pelicans for that matter, but that is another story...
Tall Boy and I observed a long, trailing strand of ibises (isn't that a nice collective noun?) flying to Bird Island this afternoon. Their bellies almost grazed the water as they streamed south, home from work. The sun was low, the wind was up.
These are autumnal sunflowers from a visit to a farm near Little Compton, when the Red Hots were almost behaving. Another beautiful fall day.

Please email me first at: fineartdaily@yahoo.com to ask about the painting and to
receive daily updates. First come, first serve. (Don't know how to link you directly to my email, so write it down until I figure it out.) Visit my slightly updated website: www.jeansanders.com.

Sunflowers are very satisfying. A few seeds scattered in the spring bring forth beautiful colors like these captured by our prolific watercolorist.
